View source on GitHub ↗# Naval Decision Rules ## Purpose Apply Naval's major decision heuristics to hard choices. ## Read First - `references/concept.md` - `references/workflow.md` Read only the files needed for the current request. All runtime references are local to this skill so the folder can be copied independently. ## Workflow 1. Write the decision, options, deadline, and missing facts. 2. Classify reversibility, downside, enthusiasm, long-term effect, and agency for each option. 3. Apply only the heuristics relevant to this decision and show where they disagree. 4. Make a recommendation with confidence, assumptions, and the next irreversible step. ## Output Return these checkable fields: - Decision table - Rules applied - Conflicts between rules - Recommendation - Assumptions and next step ## Boundaries Use n-big-life-decisions for a full life-context frame or n-opportunity-scorecard for a weighted work comparison. Paraphrase by default and do not reproduce long passages from the book. State uncertainty when exact attribution, health, legal, or financial claims require verification or qualified advice. ## Example User: "Apply Naval's decision rules to this choice." Assistant: Use the workflow above and return decision table, rules applied, conflicts between rules.
