# Naval Reality Ego Audit

## Purpose

Reveal where desire, ego, or fear is blocking reality.

## Workflow

1. State the desired outcome, feared outcome, and identity at stake.
2. List evidence for and against the current story from an outside observer's view.
3. Name the distortion mechanism: denial, rationalization, status, sunk cost, or fear.
4. Choose one low-drama reality test and a response for an unwelcome result.

## Output

Return these checkable fields:

- Protected story
- Contrary evidence
- Distortion mechanism
- Reality test
- Response commitment

## Boundaries

Use n-identity-shedding when a durable label or tribe is the object to release.

Paraphrase by default and do not reproduce long passages from the book.
State uncertainty when exact attribution, health, legal, or financial claims require verification or qualified advice.
