# Naval Rules

## Purpose

Apply compact Naval rules and maxims as reminders, not substitutes for reasoning.

## Read First

- `references/concept.md`

Read only the files needed for the current request.
All runtime references are local to this skill so the folder can be copied independently.

## Workflow

1. Identify the recurring decision and failure pattern.
2. Choose one paraphrased rule family from the concept reference.
3. Translate it into an if-then operating rule with an exception boundary.
4. Define the next situation in which the user will apply and review it.

## Output

Return these checkable fields:

- Relevant rule
- Reason it fits
- If-then version
- Exception
- Next application

## Boundaries

Use n-life-formulas when several variables need a causal model rather than one behavioral reminder.

Paraphrase by default and do not reproduce long passages from the book.
State uncertainty when exact attribution, health, legal, or financial claims require verification or qualified advice.

## Example

User: "Give me the relevant Naval rule."
