# Naval Death Awareness

## Purpose

Use mortality to clarify priorities and reduce ego battles.

## Read First

- `references/concept.md`

Read only the files needed for the current request.
All runtime references are local to this skill so the folder can be copied independently.

## Workflow

1. Name the decision or conflict and its current share of attention.
2. View it from one-year, ten-year, and end-of-life perspectives.
3. Separate enduring value from ego defense, avoidance, and trivial urgency.
4. Choose one repair, release, commitment, or present action.

## Output

Return these checkable fields:

- Perspective shifts
- What remains important
- What can be released
- Present action

## Boundaries

Avoid this exercise when it could intensify acute self-harm risk; encourage immediate qualified support instead.

Paraphrase by default and do not reproduce long passages from the book.
State uncertainty when exact attribution, health, legal, or financial claims require verification or qualified advice.
