# Naval Mental Debugging

## Purpose

Watch thoughts, reactions, fear, desire, and ego as debuggable processes.

## Read First

- `references/concept.md`

Read only the files needed for the current request.
All runtime references are local to this skill so the folder can be copied independently.

## Workflow

1. Capture one episode as trigger, thought, body sensation, urge, action, and consequence.
2. Identify the protected fear, desire, identity, or prediction.
3. Find the earliest observable interruption point.
4. Test one alternate interpretation and one replacement response in the next occurrence.

## Output

Return these checkable fields:

- Loop trace
- Hidden function
- Interruption point
- Replacement response
- Next-occurrence test

## Boundaries

Do not frame severe distress as a simple bug; recommend qualified support when symptoms are persistent, dangerous, or disabling.

Paraphrase by default and do not reproduce long passages from the book.
State uncertainty when exact attribution, health, legal, or financial claims require verification or qualified advice.
